Enter the property and find yourself in the middle of it all. The open floor plan offers easy access from the living area, to dining area, kitchen and ocean side deck and makes family entertainment a breeze. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island sink. The dining area offers seating for 6 and is surrounded by windows, allowing lots of sunshine to come through. The living area provides a very comfortable place for family and friends to gather.   Our Beach condo kitchen was ruined by a water leak requiring a kitchen redo. With supply chain issues, we needed flexibility in finding a place to look stay during the renovation. After dealing with five rental agencies and viewing 10 locations, we fortunately found Wrightsville Sands Realty Inc. Shannon found us a great place to stay and allowed us maximum flexibility. We wound up at “Beachcomer”and couldn’t be more pleased. The location was perfect, the unit was bright and cheery , clean and very well appointed. Shannon was an angel and we can’t thank her enough.

  Our stay at the Beachcomber was great. The house is beautiful. We had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the porch. The breeze was great. Short walk to the beach and the bicycles were a big plus. We had planned to rent some when we arrived. We only encountered a few issues. #1 If you have kids, bring an extra sheet or two to cover the WHITE furniture in the living room. It is lovely but hard to keep clean with a 2 year old. #2 there were some issues with some breakers turning off. We had to call about the outdoor lights not working and the outlets in the bathroom and kitchen. They came right over and flipped the breakers. Might just want to be sure not to plug in too many things at one time. #3 the tile in the master bath could use a good scrubbing but that is a minor OCD issue of mine. Other than those small things, it was absolutely perfect for our family of 7. Will absolutely stay here again.

  Checkin was smooth. Minor issues (wrong size sheets for beds, new hose to wash sand off feet) we’re dealt with quickly. Major issue (dryer didn’t work), said they get it fixed or replaced, sent a repairman then nothing for the remaining 4 days of our stay. Multiple messages left, no response. When checking out, all they could say is “we’ll let the owners know.” Exactly, that’s their job to maintain the property by letting the owner know what needs to be repaired. The state of the dryer as well other property issues show the management company is not doing their job.

  The rental is in a great location. It is nice.
  The closets need to be purged of old lamps, bedding etc in order for the guests to have a place to hang their clothing. The closets were unusable!
  Not much drawer storage space in the bedrooms either.
  The bottom rack in the dishwasher needs to be repaired or replaced.
  The handle on the faucet in the secondary bathroom kept falling off.
  The WIFI was slow and unsecured-would be nice if upgraded.
  The dryer quit working on the third day of our 7 day stay. It was reported and someone from the Mgmt office came out but it was never repaired during our stay. Having wet beach towels and other unwashed clothes-due to not being able to dry them-for most of the week was unpleasant.

  Great location for a quick weekend getaway, just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Lots of space in the location, multiple bathrooms, very cozy living room space, but we spent most of our time on the porch. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable, and it's shaded, which made it easy to stay outside. Even though the location is in a dense neighborhood, it was quiet at night, so if you're looking for a relaxed getaway, a few short steps from the beach, this might be a good spot for you.

  In town for my daughter's wedding in Wrightsville. House was great; good location, easy walk to the beach, food close by, etc. Maybe it's just me but a few things regarding the management company. None were terribly bad; just different from my other rental experiences:
  
  1. This was the first time in probably 10 years I've had to go by the actual office and pick up keys. Just a time waster picking keys up and then having to drop them off.
  2. All of the bed linens provided in plastic wrap and we were making beds that night. I'm not above making my own bed; I've just never had to before at a rental.
  3. Communication with the management company could have been better. The initial contract and payment process was very smooth. I had questions prior to our arrival and I emailed and called/left messages and never received any replies.
  
  Overall, still a great trip and the house is awesome.

  The location was great. The decor was beautiful. Unfortunately, the place was not cleaned well at all. Glasses in the cabinet had lipstick stains on them or were unwashed. We took 3 out before we found one clean - so we bought plastic cups and did not use anything that we did not wash before using. There was dog hair on the floor in one of the bathrooms so it was obvious it had not been swept or vacuumed. I am so sorry to report this because I think it could have been perfect other than that. If it is cleaned well I would recommend it, but I don't know how you will know ahead of time.

  We recently stayed at the beachcomber for thanksgiving. The house was as pictured, easy to find and the perfect location. We did run into a few snags during our stay but luckily the property management company was quick to return every call and solve every issue. The only thing that I would have liked to have seen in the house is some kind of cleaning supplies. Cooking thanksgiving dinner got messy as always and since they had zero cleaning materials we ended up going out and buying some. For example, dish soap for hand washing items too large for dishwasher and Lysol wipes to be able to leave the counters from food that had spilled. Besides that I would recommend the beachcomber to anyone.

  We stayed at Beachcomber mid October. We enjoyed our stay and the location was close to the beach and restaurants. The best part of the unit was the spacious and comfortable family room and kitchen. The front porch had plenty of seating and was so relaxing. Happily surprised to find beach chairs and bikes. The master bathroom shower is in need of some regrouting as it was moldy and the master carpet is pretty stained. Other than that the unit was clean. I thought the price of $320 per night in October was a little steep for this unit. With taxes, fees and basic linen package it brought the price up to about $410 per night.

  The property was even nicer than the pictures and it was just a quick walk down the road to the beach. When we arrived to pick up our keys we were informed that there were painters working on the exterior who would be finished by 4:00pm. Well, they were there until that evening and then arrived early the next morning getting in and out of their trucks in the driveway just underneath the balcony where we were trying to enjoy our coffee. Their sanding and banging was noisy and with their ladders placed all around the building we had very little privacy. We asked several times how long they planned to be there and were continually told they were finishing up. They stayed all day and returned the next morning to "finish up" once again. Another issue was that there was no porch light which was a safety concern in the dark stariwell. There was no propane supply to the advertised gas fireplace. Hurricane Joaquin had just passed to the south of us and on a couple of rainy nights a fire would have been nice. Overall the property was in mint condition and we all agreed we'd return in spite of theinconveniences.

  We rented this property for a girls beach weekend. The place was as described on website. Very clean, spacious, 2 streets from Johnny Mercer pier and few steps out to the beach. We really enjoyed relaxing on the porch and being able to walk to the restaurants. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

  We rented the Beachcomber for a weekend in early May and had a great experience! The house is beautiful, and we really enjoyed the porch, spacious living room and kitchen. Although the weather did not cooperate, the location is ideal as it is close to the beach and also within walking distance of restaurants/bars. The office staff were professional and friendly. One thing to note is that there were only two trash bags and dishwasher detergents supplied, so if you plan to rent be prepared to bring these. But overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it!
